Our linguistics team in Heidelberg has designed a summer school in cooperation with the Marsilius Kolleg and the Heidelberg Center for Digital Humanities. Doctoral students and advanced master's students conducting research in AI are invited to explore the topic of AI and (moral) values from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Janine Dengler, member of the linguistic subproject, presented the results of her master's thesis at the WMK colloquium in Karlsruhe. The thesis is a pilot study on discourse strategy methods in science communication and provides exciting initial insights into this field of research.

One year after the start of the project, the entire group met in Heidelberg. Greeted by the first snow of the year and the Christmas market stalls that had already been set up but were still closed, we devoted ourselves to exchanging ideas at the German Studies Seminar.

As the MoWiKo team, we work in a genuinely interdisciplinary manner. Guided by Stefan Götze from the Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS), we explored how exactly we coordinate our work processes and translate the respective thinking style of one discipline for the other team members.

MoWiKo is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of its science communication research funding guideline. Together with the other projects funded under this guideline, we met for the first time in Berlin on May 7 to discuss content, methods, and preliminary results.
