Doctoral candidate Janine Dengler presented her master’s thesis on “Discourse Strategic Methods for Enforcing Validity Claims in Science Communication” at the Heidelberg Research Colloquium and provided an overview of the entire MoWiKo project. Together with Prof. Ekkehard Felder and Dr. Maria Becker, she works on the linguistics sub-project at Heidelberg University. Following the presentation, various aspects of the master’s thesis as a pilot study were discussed, ranging from general questions about the scope of the concept of science communication in the entire project to detailed questions about corpus construction.
