MoWiKo at the ECREA

Lisa Gaffney was a guest at this year’s ECREA in Brno, where she presented findings on the relationship between moral beliefs regarding the Energy transition and openness to diverse opinions and a willingness to compromise on this issue.

At the European Communication Conference, which took place this year from September 8 to 11 in Brno (Czech Republic), Lisa Gaffney presented research findings from a survey conducted as part of the MoWiKo project. In her presentation titled “The Role of Moral Convictions in Understanding Compromise and Tolerance,” she highlighted the connections between moral convictions regarding the Energy transition, openness to differing opinions on this topic, and a willingness to compromise.

The European Communication Conference is organized by the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) and this year’s theme was “Shifting Grounds: Paths, Connections, and Futures.” The focus was on the role of diverse perspectives, methods, and innovative solutions in addressing current global crises. The conference not only provided an opportunity to present her own research but also facilitated inspiring discussions and networking with researchers from across Europe.
